Call to prayer – Queensland Floods
The floods in Queensland and the tragic loss of life associated have touched the hearts of all Australians. Let alone the impact on families still to be realized where houses have been either totally removed, destroyed or requiring massive repair. Families will be without a home, income and personal possessions. What can be done to help. Besides financial support which we can all donate to, the greatest work we can do is to bring these families to our Lord in prayer. The damage that is often not seen yet most cutting are those that occur within a man’s soul. Loss of hope and the risk of seeing no climbing back from such devastation is where the prayers of God’s people can call on God to give that which only He can – comfort!. 2Cr 1:3 All praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the source[fn2] of every mercy and the God who comforts us. 2Cr 1:4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When others are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. May you join with the prayer ministry this Wednesday evening at 7:00PM as we pray for those who desperately need our prayers. This will be in the main sanctuary of our church facility located at 3 Lanier Way Secret Harbour. If ever our nation needed to see Christ it is now! Let us pray!
