Our priestly role…
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, His own special people that you may proclaim the praises of Him Who has called you out of darkness into His marvellous light – 1 Peter 2:9
Peter reminds us that we do not belong to this world, we are priests of a holy nature. Therefore we need to conduct ourselves with this in mind. Yes we are all priests – our bodies are a living sacrifice, we offer praise and do good works, even our money is for His service – Phil 4:10-20 and winning people over to Christ for His glory. These are our sacrifices to God in our ‘priestly’ role. As priests we need to be separated but not isolated. We do not allow the world to change us instead we need to influence the world and turn it upside down, or ‘right way up’ in its thinking. Live in that priestly role daily and be an awesome influence.
