A grandparents Easter prayer…
This year Helen and I will be blessed with our sixth grandchild due to be born in December. The life of a grandparent is a wonderful blessing from the Lord. But being a grandparent brings with is a double load of life in every way.
Seeing our little ones having to grow up in a world that is increasingly more hostile to the things of God, a world that is living in wreckless abandonment and consumed with increasing rage. What of these precious little saints? God’s Word again is where Helen and go for peace, assurance and strength. In Peter’s first sermon in the Book of Acts Peter under the power and direction of the Holy Spirit says these wonderful words…Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit…For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off…Acts 2:39.
Every night we pray for our precious grandchildren and then on Wednesday in our prayer time at church we bring them all again before the Lord and ask for God’s salvation be upon them all …BASED upon God’s promise in His awesome Word. Take God at His Word and bring your love ones to His throne in prayer with us.
