To know Him…
Psalm 27:4 One thing have I desired of the Lord that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty and enquire in His temple.
Oh to have the heart of David. He did not just want to know about God, he wanted to know Him. Is your devotion time non-existent, sparse or at best ‘dry’? In Exodus chapter 3 we see Moses’ relationship with God turn from one of distance and fear , (then as God shared His heart with Moses), to one of humility and inadequacy. By chapter 33:13 Moses asks, Teach me Your way so I may know you!. It is the same desire David had as he cultivated his time with God. The true reason for a solid devotional life is amazing – the God of the universe loves you and wants to be your friend. Cultivate your time with God and get to know Him this week.
