Asteroid 2005 YU55…
“(CNN) — An asteroid the size of an aircraft carrier will pass Earth to within eight-tenths of the distance of the moon Tuesday, the closest approach to Earth of an object this size in more than 30 years.
The closest approach will occur at 6:28 p.m. ET when the asteroid passes within 202,000 miles of our planet, NASA said.
The space agency classified the asteroid as a “potentially hazardous object.”
If the asteroid were to crash into Earth, it could cause a 4,000 megaton blast and a magnitude 7.0 earthquake, according to scientists at Purdue University. If it fell into the ocean, it could cause a 70-foot high tsunami within 60 miles of the crash site, the experts said. Tuesday 8th November 2011.”
The above news report by CNN has the world buzzing and thinking about what would happen if such an asteroid actually did hit planet earth. Whilst we have been reassured that this particular asteroid called Asteroid 2005 YU55 will do no damage at all to planet earth it reminds us that during a period called the Great Tribulation, this planet will face a time of unprecedented events.

There is coming a time when the world in which we live, with its self determined attitude to denude its thinking of anything to do with the Holy God, will eventually reap the seeds it has sown. The Apostle Paul warned of such an existence, Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
There is coming a time when judgment will fall and Jesus said of such a time that this world has never seen or would ever see again. Today, tonight, will you hear the Spirit of God speak to your heart about your eternal existence. That the world in which we live was created by God and it was perfect. But man in his foolishness has brought down a spiraling affect (sin) that sees this world unwinding and falling apart. Jesus Christ is going to return soon, He must, because if left much longer to ourselves we would totally self destruct!
You were created to have fellowship with a holy God and He sent His Son into this fallen world to provide you a means of having eternal life through the gift of His grace through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Take a note of the warning signs – and give your heart to Jesus Christ and receive His love and forgiveness. And you won’t have to be concerned about a future “Deep Impact!”. It is coming…..
