Seasons…

Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour   -

King Solomon wrote,  Ecc 3:1   To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:
Ecc 3:2       A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;
Ecc 3:3       A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up;
Ecc 3:4       A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance;
Ecc 3:5       A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; Ecc 3:6       A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away;
Ecc 3:7       A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak;
Ecc 3:8       A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.
We all go through seasons in our walk with the Lord. Times where we are flourishing in our growth, other times we are struggling with things and growing slowly through them. Some such times are those where we seem to be melancholy, not sparkling, and dealing with more serious emotions that seem to weigh us down and we are unable to remove.
Could it be that in those times, whilst we may even find them at times oppressive, that we are making real seismic shifts in our maturity as believers?
If today, you find yourself just different at the moment know this, weeping may endure for a night, but joy [cometh] in the morning. Psalm 30:5
Winter always shifts to spring and spring always leads us to summer!
May God richly bless you in the season He has you in at this time in your life – knowing that you are becoming more of the man or woman that God has planned for you!
