Chosen….
Jhn 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world,
Last Sunday morning we saw in Genesis 24 how God had a bride chosen for Isaac and her name was Rebekah. She was everything and more that Isaac could ever have imagined as a bride. We also saw how that this whole story was a wonderful type of God the Father choosing for His Son Jesus a precious bride that He too would love with all His heart. That being the church – you and I.
We struggle, all of us with God’s amazing grace and how He loves us and how He calls His church His precious bride. It is truly overwhelming.
We were amazed at how we were chosen! Not because we had anything to offer but simply because of God’s goodness in choosing us to be His.
At the end of the service my eye caught someone who like myself had come to the realization of two things: how little I had to offer God, in fact absolutely nothing, with my failures and my struggles – but secondly with the absolute wonderment that God still had chosen me……it’s just overwhelming!
Tonight, today as you read this small note, will you too realize God has chosen you to be His!
It is an amazing thing to be loved by the Creator of the Universe, the one and only living Holy God.
Accept it, you will never understand it, believe it, and enjoy it! YOU ARE CHOSEN…AMEN
