For God so loved the world..
I am sure at some time or rather in watching the olympics we shall see someone in a crowd holding a sign with “John 3:16” on it!
As I see the events of the world and Bible prophecy unfolding, I expect Christ to come at any moment for His church as we know by God’s Word we are living in the very last days.
In the short time we have before the church is taken, we are to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to as many souls as we can – the Great Commission!
But I think we sometimes forget that it is too God’s desire for His creation to come to know His love and forgiveness for them. The Scripture John 3:16 puts it so beautifully and succinctly – “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
This Scripture reminds us, proclaims to us, and invites us to receive God’s love and forgiveness through the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ.
We as Christ’s Church need to remember, God’s Almighty power and His grace is at full tilt to encourage lost souls to come to know salvation. In the last days in which we live, may we be encouraged and empowered by the knowledge that as we seek to fulfill God’s great commission – Mar 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.….that the Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth is equipping and guiding us to see His will achieved. He is going to use us to get His will done!
That thought really makes me excited – knowing that God is with us totally as we seek to win the lost!
May you this week, experience John 3:16 in your life and may you know and sense God’s presence and power with you as you proclaim His loving gospel to a needy and lost world! Because God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son…..
