Christmas is for everyone….
Christmas is for everyone because everyone needs Christmas! It was the cry of Job that echoed the heart of every man and woman on earth, when he cried….If only there were a mediator between us, someone who could bring us together. Job 9:32
Job in all his trials and torments just longed to have some one bridge the gap between he and God.
Job’s prayer, his cry was answered, way beyond he could ever imagine.
For the Bible tells us that God sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to be that bridge builder, the reconciler, our mediator between God and man..that man Christ Jesus. 2 Cor 5:17
Christmas is about God stepping into our world and by the hand of that precious babe born in a manger in Bethlehem, offer His hand to heal us, help us and to hold us.
The greatest Christmas gift is this babe born in a manger who would suffer and die to provide forgiveness for our sins and the blessed hope of eternal life. This gift, this Jesus, came for all the world for the Bible tells us so in its most well known verse – Jhn 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life…
That verse tells us God loves you…..(the whole world and that must include you)….and His desire is to give you life…eternal life!
Christmas truly is for everyone because Christ came for everyone.
But as with all gifts, the gift of God’s love, the acceptance of that babe born in a manger as your Lord and Saviour, you are to receive just like any other true gift – it’s only a gift when you accept it and receive it to yourself.
My prayer is that you this Christmas will realize that Christmas is for you indeed…and in fact it really is for everyone…who will receive the gift of God’s love and forgiveness through His Son Jesus Christ – a babe born in a manger. Will you accept it?
