Boston Marathon bombing…

Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour   -

The dreadful loss of life and horrific injuries to so many people from the bombings at the Boston Marathon have not only shaken Boston but the bomb blast has been amplified around the world by every world news media!
Airport security is on heightened alert, other major sporting events now are drawn into the realm of possible targets and our world again has been jolted into short breaths of fear and nervousness.
Where can we hide, where can we run to, what can we do in regard to living in fear of such events as those at Boston?
I have learned a great lesson from the Psalmist who when looking at world events and seemingly injustice going on around him wrote…Psalm 73: 16 So I tried to understand why the wicked prosper. But what a difficult task it is! ……..17 Then I went into your sanctuary, O God, and I finally understood the destiny of the wicked. ……….26 My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.
If you are troubled today by these events do as the Psalmist did and go before the Lord and there you will find strength when your heart is seeming to fail.
It was the Apostle Paul who said, Romans 8: 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,  neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Nothing can separate us from God’s love and grace, not even a bomber in Boston or wherever they attempt to capture us with fear, …………nothing!
