The Beauty of Prayer

Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour   -

Psa 19:14    Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
There is something absolutely amazing about prayer that seems to be often overlooked in its simpleness and wonderment. That is, we can pray as we speak, just as if we were speaking to another person! That is aloud, with all our concerns, the passion of our voice and the very depths of our hearts emotions.
To pray just as I speak, very simply and very succinctly. How beautiful is it then that we have a God who we can talk to, not only as our God but as our Father in heaven, as our Friend!
I am reminded of the relationship that Abraham had with the Lord and how close and personal it was. Abraham, Paul reminds us in Romans chapter 4:, is the Father of our faith…..
It says in Gen 17:3    Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying…..
Abraham spoke to God, and he spoke simply and clearly. May we follow Abraham’s example not just in faith but in prayer as well.
If prayer seems hard, seems to be a task to you, could it be that you have made prayer something that it is not supposed to be?
Will you just open your heart and your mouth to God where ever you are and when ever you seek to speak to God and simply talk…………..you will find your prayer time just being constant and consistent, real and something you enjoy!
How wonderful to know that our Father in heaven waits expectantly and longs to have you speak to Him – this we call prayer!
The Lord bless you this week and may you rejoice in the knowledge that the Lord God of heaven awaits to hear from you.
