Syria conflict!
The conflict in Syria, the continued upheaval in Egypt keep filling our news casts here in Australia. The President of the USA seems intent on a military strike due to the gassing of innocent civilians in Syria. The parliaments in England and Australia jostle with this decision to support or hold back from the projected moves from the USA.
Meanwhile, Israel sits south of Syria, and north of Egypt as Russian and US warships sit precariously off shore in the Mediterranean.
It seems to be that Israel is always in the middle of conflict, always having to be on guard, always threatened with war and hatred.
Jesus said, Mat 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
That scripture, that prophecy speaks of the re birth of the nation Israel again in 1948. Mat 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
We live in one of the most exciting times in the history of the planet. That being the time in which Jesus Christ said as He promised that He would, return. To know of the season of His return Jesus said there would be various signs…the most powerful being the establishment again of the nation Israel.
Jesus also said no man would know the day or the hour of His return…but He told His disciples and His church of the season, the events that would be occurring, leading up to His return…that season is now!
Just how long this season will last until He suddenly appears we don’t know but Peter told us how we should be living in this time of expectation – 2Pe 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
May we heed Christ’s warning and Peter’s exhortation – for we are living in a time like no other. Today, tonight it is time for you to seriously consider your relationship with Christ for He is coming as a Saviour or a Judge – the role He will have in our lives is dependent on our relationship we have now with Him – will you today consider His love for you and His sacrifice of love that He offers to you. He will never turn His back or reject anyone who seriously desires to come to Him and know Him as their Lord and Saviour. The times we are seeing before our eyes are a wake up for a sleepy world.
Jhn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Don’t leave off the most important decision in your life. See the news and know the season – Jesus is coming!
