What do we bring back from Israel?
It’s getting close to returning home so we gather our thoughts as to what we return to Australia with from the Holy Land. Today we talked with a local shopkeeper and he found out we were from Australia…he said , “We have very much in common…we Jews and you Christians…”
I replied we certainly do as we both worship the one and true living God and He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, He is the God of Israel!
Australia has an amazing military history in Israel and has played a major part in what it is today. But as Australian Christians we have an integral part to play in Israel’s future as we physically leave its shore for home. The people of Israel have personally asked us to take home the truth – the truth that this land is Israel’s and should never be divided. That also much of what we read and hear about in the news media is often far from the whole story and from the truth.
But specifically we must take home a heart for this land and for God’s chosen people, for Israel . In our everyday dealings back in Australia may we stand alongside God’s chosen people and represent them with the truth and blessing of God’s precious Word……..”I will bless those who bless you and I will curse him who curses you and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed..Gen 12:3″
