Good Friday Service – 6:30 pm
As we approach Good Friday, our thoughts are drawn to those images, three crosses silhouetted against the horizon. The middle cross bearing our Lord Jesus, His broken and beaten body, pierced against the cross, His arms spread and His head crowned with thorns.
The mocking crowd, hoarse from their taunts has moved on. A Centurion and a few other Roman soldiers left rolling dice. Death is in the air and innocence is humiliated with a criminals sentence.
My prayer is that you have taken time this week to remember what our Saviour did. That your heart will be overwhelmed in moments when you must find a place of solace and close your eyes as you ponder this amazing grace you have been give. Free….but at great cost!
Join us this Friday evening at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour, at 6:30 pm as we, for whom Christ suffered and died, gather in honour of His name.
We gather not only in honour of His name but in absolute thankfulness at His gift of life that He has made available to each of us. Our forgiveness is as real as Christ’s suffering and death for it is for this reason that we celebrate Easter.
May you, in the time we still have left, take time to speak to your neighbour and invite them to join you this Good Friday. May you in your last minute shopping take a small part of that time to ask the cashier, the store person, the trolley guy and sincerely invite them to come to church.
As the evening draws near on Friday, as you and your family prepare to head out to church, stop for a moment and prepare to come to give thanks, to sing of God’s great love. Easter is with us. See you there!
– we serve a blessed God!
