New Series – Wed. Evenings – Angry People of the Bible!
This Wednesday evening after our precious time of prayer we begin a new series and I encourage you to join us for this journey.
When I mention the names of Moses, the prophet Jonah, and Jesus Christ our Lord there is an amazing connecting thread to each of them – the Bible tells us they all experienced anger!
With some it was righteous anger; with others, their anger was sinful.
Moses, in anger broke the two tablets of the Law when he came down from the mountain top.
David, became angry when he heard the story from Nathan the prophet and passed judgment on an unknown criminal only to be told that he WAS the man.
Anger is an emotion we all have and it is a fact of life.
The Bible speaks a lot about anger – what it is and what it can do!
When anger is controlled and displayed according to biblical principles, it can in fact be a positive force that can bring glory to God.
When anger is selfish however it can tear down that which is good.
In this series we commence Wednesday evening we will see what the Bible says about this emotion, this force, and seek to discover when anger is acceptable to God and what the Bible says we are to do to control it.
Come join us at 7:00 pm for prayer and then open your Bibles and join us on this amazing journey as we look at the Angry People of the Bible and what we can learn from each of them!
