What Makes Jesus Angry?

Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour   -

I invite you to join us for prayer Wednesday at 7:00 pm here at CCSH. Why do we pray? Because Jesus commanded us to, because Jesus gave us the importance and living example of it in His own life and it is the means by which the church is empowered by the power and might of God. A praying church is a powerful church. A church that does not pray is simply a gathering of religious people who will achieve nothing.
Following prayer, at 7:30pm I will be teaching on what makes Jesus angry. The frailty and lack of impact the church has in the world today is linked to the lack of passion in the church, that is the passion of Jesus.
There is a mistaken idea that Christians should get along with everybody, and never ever be angry at anyone.
The Bible would tell us differently, for some forms of anger are NOT only justified but they are commanded.
The concept of Christians just getting along with everybody and never being angry comes from people using the Sunday school image of gentle Jesus as their example – gentle Jesus meek and mild, touching children on the head!
Jesus did not get along with everybody!
On several occasions He became angry with people.
The Bible tells us that God is light and love and He must express a holy indignation and anger toward sin.
Pure and righteous anger is not a sign of sin but of love!
Love without conviction is only sentimentality.
Love plus conviction equals ministry!
Psa 97:10 You who love the LORD, hate evil!
Standing for what is right will bring enemies but they will be the enemies of God also.
Jesus again is our example on what should anger us.
Jesus expressed His anger at three different sins!
Join us Wednesday as we study the anger of Jesus and how we can learn from Him!
See you on your knees as we gather before the Lord our God and seek His face in prayer.
Bless you
