Special Post – Brussells aftermath!

Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour   -

The recent terrorist attacks in Paris and now Belgium continue to eat away at the safety of our modern society now that we are part of the “Global Village”. Cowardly attacks such as these along with the evil brutality of the Islamic State in Syria in particular has the world in a state of panic.
Where and when will the next attack be?
What does the Bible have to say on such matters? As Christians, what is our response to be, our concerns, questions or directions? Thankfully the Bible gives us comfort and wisdom and knowledge for the time in which we now live.
As we take a step back to in order to get the bigger picture, the events of the world as we see them happening, are part of the final culmination of events that will precede the rapture of the Church by Jesus Christ as prophesied by the Apostle Paul in 1 Thess 4: 13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
Following the rapture of the Church, the Bible tells us that a new world leader will step onto the stage and bring in a worldwide dictatorship as prophesied in Revelation 6: 1 Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.” 2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer. For this to occur the world needs to be ripe and ready for such a leader and in such crisis that world governments will give over their sovereignty to such a man.
Never in the history of the world has there been such a time as we are now living and never has the world been in such a state of uneasiness as the time we live now. This is not a war like the previous wars. There is indeed a religious Jihad…a term used by Muslims as a call to war on all those who seek to no live according to Islam.
But it is important to remember that God is in control and has been since…Genesis 1:1..In the beginning God…
As a Christian living today, God has given us this moment in history to share hope in a world of horror, to share faith in a world that has no trust and to share love in a world awash with hate. This love is the love of God and not some condescending emotion. It is the love of our Heavenly Father giving His Son Jesus as a sacrifice to end the loneliness of man and separation of man from the Holy God once for all.
Easter 2016, tells us why Why Jesus Came, Why Jesus Died, Why Jesus Rose.
This Friday we will hear of Why Jesus Died – it will be a very special message for all who have suffered the cruelty of pain.
