Jesus Christ gave His life for Australia

Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour   -

I went with my son in law Reece to this morning’s ANZAC Day dawn service and was moved by the number of people who silently yet intently were making their way to the location where the service would commence at 5:45am. People of all walks and ages but more of a younger flavour to the growing gathering.

Silently waiting for the service to begin there was little fuss and limited talking with just the smaller children’s voices every now and then rising above the quiet.

The crowd just kept on building and building. As my eyes gazed around this vast throng of people how I wished that this number of people could be seen coming to a crusade where the Gospel was being proclaimed.

Within my heart was the silent repetition of the verse that details the Gospel and the love of God in just twenty five words.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

We need to constantly remind ourselves and each other that God loves this amazing nation of Australia so much that He gave His Son Jesus Christ to die for the 24 million souls that call Australia home. Also that God is working by His Holy Spirit to bring them back to Him.

Our task is to allow God to use our lives, our every moment to be available to share His love to these who at the moment know nothing of His love for them.

Do not give up hope for your loved ones, your friends, your wife your husband, your son or daughter.

May we be driven this week by Christ’s love to pray and reach out to those who are lost with the vision of seeing them receiving God’s love and forgiveness.
Join us Wednesday night at 7:00pm at the chapel as we pray this vision into reality.
Part 2 of our series on Heaven follows at 7:30pm, see you there.
