There is an eye that never sleeps…

Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour   -

The heart is an amazing organ. It can keep on beating even if all other nerves were severed. It beats an average of 75 times a minute, 40 million times per year, 0r 2 ½ billion times in a life of 70 years. At each beat the average adult heart discharges about 4 ounces of blood. This amounts to 3,000 gallons per day or 650,000 gallons per year. Enough to fill 81 tankers of 8,000 gallons each.

The hearts does enough work in one hour to lift a 150 pound man to the top of a 3 storey building, enough energy in 12 hours to lift a 65 ton tanker one foot of the ground or enough power in 70 years to lift the largest battleship afloat out of the water.

Yet you never see it in action. It never rests. It just keeps on pumping!

Why all this? Because God likewise never rests in His watching over us even when we think He isn’t or cannot seem to see Him working in our lives.

Psa 121:4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

May you rest in the knowledge of Jesus promise that He would never leave you nor forsake you.

This is living in God’s grace!
