When things get chaotic

When things appear to be in Chaos!
When we look at the world situation on all levels it appears to be a world in chaos. In fact as we drill down to the way people live today many seem to be living a life without any order, control or structure.
It seems to be an ongoing existence of reaction. We react to our emotions, we react to the cost of living, we react to anything that seems to pressure us or get in our way uncontrollably. Until life just unwinds into a tangled mess.
The marriage relationship is stressed; parents and children are at loggerheads. So at the end of each day it seems as if it is a miracle to have made it through alive. But then the following day, our life like a cyclone without direction heads off again.
When Jesus fed the 5,000 in John’s gospel chapter 6, after He had prayed and blessed the five loaves and two fish, He had the disciple get the crowd of 5,000 to sit down in ranks, in groups of hundreds and in fifties – Mark 6:40.
Then the disciples in an orderly fashion distributed the food to the hungry crowd.
The Bible continually tells us that God is a God of order. When the tribes of the children of Israel were coming out of Egypt being led by Moses each tribe had a specific place around the tent of meeting they were allocated to set up camp. As the Pillar of Fire by night or the Pillar of Cloud by day led them to move the tribes even had a position in which they were to move out of camp and on their journey.
The Apostle Paul tells us in 1Co 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
When our lives get chaotic it is a sign we have ignored the things that God would have us place first in our lives. We are living literally a life out of order.  We usually have neglected Seeking His kingdom first….or beginning our day without His Word and a time of prayer, or by not giving God any time at all in our daily routine and constantly putting others things first. Usually ourselves! The result is always chaos.
Tomorrow, start a new page, begin with a time of prayer, it doesn’t have to be long at all, just start with committing your day into God’s hands. Secondly, keep in touch with God throughout the day, either by seeking His will at opportune times in your schedule or by simply asking Him to guide your next decision or move in that part of the day.
Take time to read a portion of God’s Word and ask God to help you live it out.
What will happen I guarantee is that your life will begin to have structure, you will begin to see God’s leading and as a result, His blessing.
Exchange your chaos for His grace and peace……
