Pray for Australia
Have you ever wondered why Australia is in its current spiritual state? Christianity has continued to decline post war and now many Australian children have never even heard of Jesus Christ.
Where did we go wrong? How did we stray so far? When once all children in every school attended Scripture lessons. Every child at least had a Christian label they identified with, Catholic, Presbyterian, Methodist, Anglican and so on.
There are a number of reasons for our spiritual decline I admit but could one of the main reasons be like what the children of Israel did as described in the Book of Judges? Jdg 17:6 In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes. Jdg 21:25 In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.
Things were good in Australia the post the war years and God blessed this nation with many riches. But it was also during this time that we as a nation decided to go our own way without God! Now we have reaped what we have sown.
But there is hope as we intercede for our nation and ask God to forgive us and seek His blessing back upon our land.
2Ch 7:14 “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Take time to pray for Australia.
