Home soon…..
Most of us have had to be away from our home at some time. No matter how wonderful or plain the place you may be visiting whilst away, there is nothing like getting back to your own home.
This Sunday in John 14, Jesus gives us some wonderful promises of hope. He promises to come back for us and to take us to be where He is!
John 14:3 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
The Bible records the father of the faith – , but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all. -Romans 4:16 – that he was a stranger and pilgrim of the world in which he lived just as you and I are now.
But then the scriptures further emphasised Jesus words …..by telling us that By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place …….for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Heb 11: 8,10.
Abraham was never truly settled in his life here on earth. He knew he was but a visitor on a mission but his home was elsewhere.
Soon we are going to be going home. Soon we will be in that place that Jesus has prepared for each one of us. Each day we awake we are 24 hours closer to home!
The events happening in our world as prophesied in the Bible tell us that Jesus is coming soon!
Don’t get comfortable here and now, it simply does not and will not compare with your being home. Jesus said our home is with Him and it is called Heaven!
This Friday as you go about your business, be excited about going home!
It will be glorious…..
