There’s no age limit to being used by God….

Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour   -

1Sa 17:26 David asked the soldiers standing nearby, “What will a man get for killing this Philistine and ending his defiance of Israel? Who is this pagan Philistine anyway, that he is allowed to defy the armies of the living God?”
1Sa 17:32 “Don’t worry about this Philistine,” David told Saul. “I’ll go fight him!”
1Sa 17:33 “Don’t be ridiculous!” Saul replied. “There’s no way you can fight this Philistine and possibly win! You’re only a boy, and he’s been a man of war since his youth.
God has no age limit to being used by Him!
The Jewish historian Josephus said the boy Samuel was probably 12 years old when God called out to him and spoke to him to be His prophet over Israel.
How old was David when he fought and killed Goliath – 15-17 years of age?
How old was young Mary when the angel Gabriel spoke to her about becoming pregnant with Jesus – just 13 years of age?
A couple of Friday nights ago I spoke to the 4/12 Youth here at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour about God using them even if they might consider themselves too young.
We are now seeing how seriously some of them listened to God’s message, as they are now acting on it.
We see them helping with media, with sound and other servant roles where we have had a need. And the numbers who are serving is on the increase.
Keep these young ones in your prayers – for in situations when others are hesitant or fearful to step up, just like the soldiers in Israel’s army against Goliath, watch for another “David”! Keep your eye out for another servant like “Mary” who said, Behold the hand maid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word…Luke 1:38
May God bless the passionate youth here in CCSH.
