When our world comes crashing down….
There is one thing that cannot be shaken….
The recent events in beautiful Italy resulting with 241 deaths thus far bring a stark reality to all of us. Even the very ground on which we stand, known as “Terra Firma”, can at times like this even be shaken!
Our lives hit speed bumps, storms and at times major incidents that can shake the ground on which we think we are secure. We can lose a loved one, lose our job, or a myriad other things that bring us to a place where we are seeking safety, something to hold on to, as all around us our world is seemingly crashing down.
The bible gives to those who know Christ a beautiful promise on which we can absolutely stand no matter what the event.
Heb 12:25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, 26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” 27 Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
Having received Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Lord, we are now part of the kingdom of God that has a foundation that can never be moved.
If your world has been hit by a seismic event, Jesus Christ promises that He will keep your feet, your life, safe in His hands!
John 10:29 “My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
Rest in this precious truth and you will withstand the storm! It’s a promise!
