You were not meant to be alone….
The Bible tells us something most wonderful – that is that we were never meant to be alone!
At every wedding ceremony I refer to the passage in Genesis where God saw something was not good. This was after He had said some seven times that all that He had made was good! Very good in fact!
But Genesis tells us – It is not good for the man to be alone – Genesis 2:18.
God knew that Adam needed someone with whom he could share his life, so God created Eve.
Maybe as you read this blog it is you who are the lonely one?
If that might be so, remember we are never alone when we know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. You may not be able to see Him – but He is more real than the chair you are sitting on and He is with you!
Finally, may you learn to reach out also to others. All around your life, your world, there are people who are lonely. I pray that today you may ask God to help you be a friend to someone who has no one! You can change that!
The Lord bless you as you become a friend. As you do this, you will have changed that person’s life significantly – for now with you as their friend they will not be alone anymore!
