Our Father who art in Heaven…..
Father’s Day is this Sunday and people are busy trying to find that special gift for dad or grandad. Sock’s underwear and the usual handkerchiefs are starting to fade these days from the gift list.
Most, if not all dads usually say they really don’t want anything, as they are the ones more than most have given strong opinions over other such special days as being just ‘ a money making’ venture or pure materialism.
It is interesting as I look around our home at the treasures that I consider precious whereas most people would question my keeping them. Things made with little hands or drawings where it is questionable just who is who in the picture.
Could it be the same with our heavenly Father? That often we think we need to do something exceptional to please Him?
When in reality our Lord desires more of our presence with Him or our just going to Him whenever we have a need.
This Father’s Day give your heavenly Father the best gift you can give – you!
