Does God hear our prayers? Is He listening?
Does God hear our prayers?
There are times in our lives that doubt attempts to infiltrate our faith whereby we may question, is God hearing our prayers.
We at those times sometimes begin to seek the answer to such a question not based on what the Bible says but on what we perceive to be happening in our lives. In other words, we cease to live by faith and begin to foolishly live by sight and our emotions. We may be going through a difficult time, a storm in our lives, an illness and we thus question if God is hearing our prayers as we are praying and nothing is changing so it appears.
There was a time in the children of Israel’s period of captivity in Egypt when they were praying and praying but still they remained slaves. Was God hearing their prayers?
The Bible gives us a beautiful answer by which we all can begin again to live by faith again – Exodus 2:23 Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage. 24 So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. 25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them.
It says God heard their groanings!
God’s ear is tuned to our cries when we call out to Him. No matter what you see happening going on around you, God is listening and He will answer your prays in His perfect time.
Tonight or today when you read this blog, you can be assured that He is hearing your cries, your prayers. But the great joy is that not only is He hearing our prayers, He will most certainly answer them!
