Sunday sermon: Acts 4 “Slain and Saved By The Spirit”
To be blessed in life is the desire of many – especially Christians.
What people mean by the word ‘blessed’ and what God means are often far removed.
As followers of Christ we ought to desire for our understanding of this to reflect our Saviour’s.
This Sunday morning the 4th of June from 10.00 a.m. we will gather together to worship, pray, celebrate communion, fellowship, and study God’s word together. In our study we will be considering Acts 4:32-5:16 where we read of the Holy Spirit bringing great blessing to the first century church. Within these verses we will see what produced this blessing – the providential work of the Spirit in ‘slaying and saving’ the church.
In this passage we will learn of the unity that the early church experienced, but also learn of the hypocrisy within the early church. It takes the loving discipline of the Holy Spirit to deal with the hypocrisy and to bring blessing into the church body.
Join us this Sunday morning as we continue our series in Acts with a message called “Slain and Saved By The Spirit” where we will learn of the blessing that is to be found living lives empowered by the Holy Spirit – unity and discipline brings blessing.
