From the Pastor’s Desk
From Monday through to Thursday next week Helen and I will be ministering in Sydney at the Calvary Chapel Refresh Conference. We ask that you would please keep us in prayer during this time and that God would speak through us. Next Sunday we are back in the Book of Daniel chapter 11, and I encourage you to read ahead and prepare for this special message that takes us into the Last Days and the foreboding times of the Antichrist. With the continuing sparks of a possible war between Iran and Israel in the news, we know for sure the time we have in this period of grace is short. For many it is an increasing time of fear but for us who know Christ as our Lord and Saviour, it is surely one of the most exciting times in world history. Jesus return for His church is imminent and our task to preach the Gospel and to win the lost is to be a driving passion for each of us. Therefore I encourage you to serve here at CCSH in some capacity for Jesus said…..Mat 9:37 He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. Mat 9:38 So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”

Church Etiquette
We ask that once the service has commenced that should you need to leave the sanctuary that you are mindful to not be a distraction to those worshipping and listening to God’s Word. If you are returning the ushers will direct you to seating at the back of the sanctuary – thank you for your consideration.

Time to be praying and inviting Mums, Grandmas, Step mums out for this time we honour the blessed ministry of motherhood.
If you have faith as small as a mustard seed you can say to this mountain, “Move from here to there” and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you – Matthew 17:20 What God has promised was almost beyond belief, yet Abraham believed. He laughed and said ‘will a son be given to a man 100years old…’ But the New Testament gives an ‘insight’ to his inner heart of hope. By faith Abraham, even though he was past age…was enabled to become a father because God considered him faithful – Heb 11:11. Abraham teaches us that it is not the amount of faith but the object of our faith. He believed God who had promised. Can you place whatever amount of faith you have in God’s Word today? – Helen
