And Jonah went down to Joppa….
King David starting going down when he laid his lustful eyes on Bathsheba as she was bathing. He went a little further down when he summoned her to his palace. Then he went down further still when he committed the sin of adultery with her. He went down even further when he murdered her husband Uriah and down yet again when he tried to cover his sin. He went down, down, and down until he repented. And it alls started with an unguarded glance that became a lustful gaze. God however, will always have the last word. Her did with David, and He did with Jonah as well. Are you running from God?
 Helen’s Heart
I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living….wait patiently for the Lord… Psalm 27:13 -14 NLT
Sometimes we can lose heart with our prayer life. Have there been some requests you’ve made to God that seem to echo in the silence? Keep on seeking, ask God to give you a vision of His plans for you. We have Sarah, Rachel, Hannah, Elizabeth, and Anna all as examples who waited patiently (a long time) for their answers to prayer. Do not lose heart; God will answer your prayers if you wait. Faith is the assurance of things hoped for….Heb 11:1
 GRACE GIVING
CCSH has a tithe and offering container at the left side of the sanctuary as you enter for your grace giving for the work of the Lord here. – CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089 for those who wish to give electronically.
Don’t forget to encourage and guide your children to enjoy grace giving.
 Church Etiquette
We ask that once the service has commenced that should you need to leave the sanctuary that you are mindful to not be a distraction to those worshipping and listening to God’s Word. If you are returning the ushers will direct you to seating at the back of the sanctuary – thank you for your consideration.
Please again assist our ushers again this Sunday as they encourage you to fill the front seats first to ensure the seating in the chapel is evenly spread – thank you.
