Love, Live, Fight – Part 9: Unique
You are invited to join with Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour this Sunday evening from 6.00 p.m. as we continue our series called “Love, Live, Fight” from the New Testament book of Ephesians.
Each day, people around the world take great care, some even agonising, about the clothing they will wear. Typically, the occasion determines the wardrobe. A formal setting might equate to tuxedos or elegant evening gowns. If we’re heading off to the office for work, a ‘business casual’ outfit might be suited. A day at the beach means swimwear, whereas a fitness session at the gym means activewear. Clothing not only meets the occasion but impacts upon the way people perceive us. Of course, clothing does not change who you are inside; but, who you are inside does affect your choice of clothing.
In Ephesians 4:17-24, Paul indicates that the Christian life is no different. Paul uses the analogy of clothing to indicate that as Christians our lives are to be a reflection of the transformative change that has taken place within us due to becoming born again. In essence, we must ‘wear the right clothes’ in the way we live to match the new life we have in Christ!
See you on Sunday the 24th of June from 6 p.m. for worship and study in God’s word as we dig into Eph 4:17-24 and consider this important message and continue this series.
