Pastor’s Desk Perfect and upright, one that feared God, and hated evil, there is none like him in the earth – These are the Words spoken about Job by God. Job was NOT perfect, not in the sense of being sinless, but in the sense of being totally devoted to God and to living right before Him. A simple statement made by God about a man called Job that is something we can follow with Job being our example. Much babble occurs in Christian circles about many peripheral things. But when I read the Bible all I see are uncomplicated men and women who made a simple but powerful decision that they never veered away from. They chose to serve God with all their heart and the rest was history! God simply asks you to be equally devoted to Him as was Job. God never asks you to do something you can’t do and He said He would never be in debt to any man. That means God will abundantly bless any, who like His servant Job, will devote their life in service to Him. Do this and God will have amazing words to say about you as He did with Job!
Helen’s Heart Seek first the kingdom and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you – Matt 6:33 When presented with a lot of choices I often get confused and indecisive. I’m so glad God makes life choices easy for me. “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness”. If I do this, whatever else I do relates to that goal – how I spend my time, who I marry, and where I work are all of life’s decision which need to run through His filter. Remember He is the Good Shepherd and He always leads us in the right path! Ladies join us Tuesday for “Lessons from Michal & Bathsheba”.
