God’s Perfection in Imperfection – Part 5: Identity
You are invited to join with Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour this Sunday evening from 6.00 p.m. as we continue our series called “God’s Perfection in Imperfection” from the Old Testament book of Esther.
Your identity—who you think you are—determines how you live. In Esther Ch 4 & 5 Esther now sees herself as one of God’s people. Conversely, Haman’s identity is in his idolatry: his glory, power, honour, recognition, and success. If you’re one of God’s people, your identity isn’t achieved, it’s received. Your identity doesn’t need to be in your idolatry, like Haman’s, because Jesus gives a better identity.
