God’s Perfection in Imperfection – Part 6: Providence, Pride & Humility

Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour   -

You are invited to join with Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour this Sunday evening from 6.00 p.m. as we continue our series from the Old Testament book of Esther. This week we will examine Esther 6.

God is sovereign. He is at work oftentimes in the visible, tangible, miraculous events where it is clear that the Divine hand has wrought His handiwork. He is also at work in the invisible, in what many might assume to be “coincidence” but is really His providence. Through the story of God’s covenant people in Esther, we learn to not question God’s providence, but assume it. Also, we learn from the examples of Haman and Mordecai that God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. And grieving accomplishes nothing without repenting, as we see when Haman only has worldly sorrow and never truly repents.

Come along on Sunday evening the 25th of November from 6 p.m for worship and study in God’s word as we dig into this book and find out more!
