Perfection in Imperfection – Part 4: “Progress”– The Book of Esther
As we’ve been studying the book of
Esther we have taken note that Mordecai and Esther are not perfect – only Jesus
is perfect. But, what we will notice through the book is that they’re making
progress and changing. Mordecai’s faith is activated in mourning and weeping.
He trusts that God is always with his people and that God is in control. Esther’s
faith is activated in the face of opposition, and possible death as only she
can serve as the mediator to reconcile Xerxes and her people. In this manner,
she functions as a picture of Jesus who is the one mediator between God and
men. For Christians, Jesus has made it possible for reconciliation with God and
for transformation in our lives!
Wednesday 7:00 PM The church here gathers to pray and
to bring the needs of the church before Christ. It’s time for you to pray.
Also we will be sharing from the
prophet Jeremiah 11-20, “Idols Everywhere!” Join
us in the amazing study and see how this relates so much to our nation
Australia today – tragically. But God is faithful!

Request – We here at CCSH place tremendous emphasis on the teaching of God’s Word each week. So we ask that once the teaching has commenced that there be no movement during this time from your seated position except for obvious necessities. Refresh 2019 – Its time to start planning to
register for a very special event to be held here in January 2019, 21-24. The
Refresh conference will have worship, the teaching of the word from visiting
Calvary Pastors from the USA, worship and a children’s program. You can
register on our webpage and see our pastors for any further information.

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not
grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour will be presenting another three (3) brand new surfboards at the award days of Secret Harbour and Comet Bay Primary schools and Comet Bay College again this school year. These surfboards are awarded to students who have had to endure significant trials in their school year. Our prayer with each presentation is that Jesus Christ will be glorified and the love of God experienced by children in a very special way on behalf of the congregation here at CCSH – thank you again!
