God’s Perfection in Imperfection – Part 8: Stewards

Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour   -

You are invited to join with Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour this Sunday evening from 6.00 p.m. as we continue our series from the Old Testament book of Esther. This week we will examine Esther 8.

As Esther and Mordecai are used by God to deliver God’s people from the schemes of Haman, they are now placed into a position of great power and prominence. How Mordecai, in particular, responds to this provides an interesting insight into the responsibilities of the Christian who has been empowered by God as a steward of the Gospel.

If you’re a Christian, you’re a missionary – sent into school, work, business, or neighbourhood. Esther and Mordecai weren’t in vocational ministry—they were politicians — but they were effective missionaries because they were simultaneously faithful to the Word of God and lived in the context of pagan people, like Jesus was.

Come along on Sunday evening the 7th of December from 6 p.m for worship and study in God’s word as we dig into this book and find out more!
