Calvary Youth will be arriving back this morning for the 10:00 am service after having been away on their camp. Please make them welcome on their return. We have 13 spare Calvary Youth T-Shirts left over you can purchase at cost – $23 this morning at the information desk. (Sizes 1 XL, 7L, 2M and 3S) Also Pastor Israel will be at the information booth for any matters in regard to worship here at CCSH. Take this opportunity to see him. Last chance this week to give out our remaining few Easter invitation cards. Please be in prayer for our Easter Services and men we want to encourage more of you to be part of the pre-service prayer team. Let’s not leave this important ministry on the ladies shoulders. Starts 9:30 am in classroom #1. Calvary Women’s study in recession for the school break. Join us this Wednesday as we re-visit the evening that Jesus spent in the Garden of Gethsemane.
From the Pastor’s Desk –
Many medical experts have researched the horrific torture and subsequent death that Jesus suffered on the cross over the years. For example the nails or spikes that were driven through Jesus wrists were designed to pierce the median nerve. Ever hit your “funny bone” and known how much it hurts? When Jesus was crucified His median nerve was crushed! The pain unbelievable and constant! In fact, it was literally beyond words to describe; they had to invent a new word: excruciating. Literally, excruciating means ‘out of the cross’. My prayer for each of you this coming Easter week is that you will never play down the suffering that Jesus endured when speaking of His crucifixion and agony. I also pray that you will seize every opportunity you have for you and your family to celebrate the Easter services with us here at CCSH. He suffered for us, let us never forget His great love for each of us because of this.
