Diary notes –
This morning Pastor Marlon will lead us as we gather to celebrate communion together. Parents, we leave it to your discretion as to the extent of involvement of your little ones at this time. Paul teaches us 1 Cor 11: 27 So anyone who eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily is guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28 That is why you should examine yourself before eating the bread and drinking the cup. Please feel free to instruct your children as we celebrate this blessed time at the Lord’s Table. Seize the opportunity whilst the school holidays are on to join us Wednesday night for prayer and study as well as our Sunday evening service. Should you require prayer, the Elders and Pastors are available to pray with you directly after each service at the front of the sanctuary. We have engaged our church architect to look at two proposals for changes at the church property – 1. The removal of the ramp in the sanctuary and extending the stage. 2 Extension to the property overall for extra children’s classrooms, a youth room and more storage capacity. Please keep these matters in prayer. Ladies Bible study in recess until the 6th of August.
From the Pastor’s Desk
I want to encourage each of you to make an impact here at CCSH. You can do so in a variety of ways. Being in regular fellowship is a fantastic way to be able to grow in God’s Word, to pray for other believers and make yourself available to serve God in the ministry He has called you to in His church. Another way is by your grace giving, your financial resources providing the tools, the facilities and other practical items that are required for ministries to occur here in CCSH. Just glance around you and see what maybe the needs are that your grace giving could provide as well as the added blessing that God promises to those who cheerfully give. Join our 24/7 prayer team via your mobile. Be part of the prayer ministry that meets Wednesday evening to pray for those matters that God has called us to intercede for. God is answering our many prayers! Put your hands to the servant’s team by cleaning, tidying, rubbish removal, kitchen duties, coffee ministry, caring for our toilet facilities and many other such practical servant ministries. I want to encourage you to be a living part of the work that God has called us to here in Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour.
