From the Pastor’s Desk
Hebrews 10:25 – And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. (NLT) What a delight to see the Calvary women gather yesterday for a time of fellowship and exercise! The Bible so often refers to the children of the Lord as sheep or His flock. Sheep are not loner animals. It is interesting to note that sheep are such a defenceless creature. They don’t bite one another, attack one another or any other animals. God’s people are created to be in a family, not loners, not isolated, but eating and sharing things together. The writer of Hebrews exhorts the believers who are living in great expectation of Christ’s return, these being the Last Days, to gather together! Each and everyone of you can have a great and positive effect upon other believers. Likewise they with yourself! If a member of your family were to isolate themselves from the rest of the family, it has a negative effect on both the individual and the family. I pray that you would heed this wonderful command from God’s Word to be in fellowship and to set your diary to gather with God’s people whenever an opportunity arises. You will be blessed and so too will those with whom you gather.
