Galatians: Gospel of Grace Part 5 – Liberate

Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour   -

This Sunday morning, we will continue our Sunday evening sermon series through the book of Galatians.
Guided by the Holy Spirit, the Apostle Paul wrote this book to a group of churches that he had established in the region of Galatia. Paul sought to address the false teaching that had invaded the churches since his absence – some were teaching that justification by grace through faith was insufficient and tried to add to the finished work of Christ.
Consequently, the members of the church were confused in their belief, uncertain of their salvation, and burdened in their Christianity. The liberty they once enjoyed in Christ had been replaced with the chains of rules and regulations. Where once there was joy and clarity, now existed spiritual bewilderment.
They were confused, frustrated, sidetracked, and on dangerous ground.
So, here in Galatians 3:1-3, Paul shakes them up, takes them back, and makes them think; and the result is amazing, as it is for us today!
See you this Sunday the 27th of October from 10 a.m. for worship and this study from Galatians 3.
