He’s got the whole world in His hands….
Isa 40:12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, Measured heaven with a span…
Do you worry about worrying?
As God’s precious children, we are His responsibility. We depend upon Him for everything and as dependent children we should never be worrying about meals, clothing or shelter. For all truly dependent children assume, and they assume rightly – that their parents will provide all their needs.
Jesus said, Matthew 6:31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Sadly, we see worry ingrained in many people’s lives. A habit hard to be broken. But because we are God’s children, He is responsible for our welfare. When I first truly realized this as a new husband and father, an enormous weight was lifted from my shoulders.
Peter tells us to cast all our cares upon God, for He cares for for you and I…1 Peter 5:7
In other words, let God do the worrying! He says, “I will take the burden….leave it all with Me.”
Never forget: God is so much bigger than our problems. Today whatever worries are pressing upon you, put them in God’s massive hands – and leave them there!
As a father pities His children so the Lord pities those who fear Him – Psalm 103:13
