Wings of eagles…..

Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour   -

Isa 40:31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
Nowhere in the Bible does it teach us as Christians that we will be exempt from trials and troubles or natural disasters.  We live in a fallen world infected with the poison of sin, and we share in its misery and pain.
But the Bible also teaches that we can face trials with a power and confidence others do not have – the power of God.  As you and I trust Him as our Saviour and Lord, God helps us endure, and even discern His purposes in the midst of our storms, our times of suffering.
It’s during those times, those trials that now I have learnt to ask, Lord what are you teaching me and what do you want me to do?
The majestic bird of flight, the eagle, has the unique ability to lock its joints and soar effortlessly on an updraft, instead of flapping its wings.
As you and I wait on God, He helps us use the very winds of the storm we are enduring, to soar above our problems. The Bible says, Those who wait on the Lord….shall mount up with wings like eagles!….”
