Diary notes
The CCSH drama servant team will be meeting Friday February 14th at 6:30 PM here at the church. This is an exciting ministry you can be a part of. Baptism sign-up sheet in the foyer. If you have not yet been baptized, sign up for the class and the service. See Richard Austin for further details. Men take time before church to spend time in prayer with the prayer team today. It will make a difference.
A Word from Pastor Keith – Preparation is a key to being a faithful servant of God. Luke 14: 28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it— 29 lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him. Whether it be preaching a sermon, teaching a Sunday school class, or leading worship, to attempt any of these without prayer, preparation and planning is a travesty to any ministry being blessed by God. If you spend time in prayer before coming to church expecting God to speak to you, spending time in preparing your heart to receive God’s Word, you can be certain God will speak to you! The same can be said about reading the Bible. If you pray before you open it and ask God to speak to you through it – He will! But if you treat it as just another book, you will miss the blessing. Today we are to prepare our hearts before we take communion – 1Co 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. If you are intending on serving the Lord in any capacity, be a servant who is prepared, before any service is done for the Lord. That way we can be sure His blessing will be seen in the service that is provided, God’s power will be evident, and He will be glorified in how we serve.
