Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour – Changes for this Sunday due to Covid 19
Dear CCSH members,
Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour has been watching closely the pandemic of COVID-19 and we are taking steps in preparation for what could possibly happen in the coming weeks and months.
Below are our guidelines for the Church and its activities. They will be reviewed frequently and updated when required. You can find updates on our website (www.ccsh.com.au), and it will be emailed to you if you are in our database.
19 MARCH 2020 UPDATE

a. you are sick or at risk – any symptoms including but not limited to cough, sore-throat, shortness of breath.
b. You have travelled overseas in the past 14 days.
c. Been in contact with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 patient.
d. Inform us if you have been infected so that we can support you and keep you in our prayers.
e. a livestream of our a.m and p.m. services will be available via Facebook live (see details on our webpage).
2. Church Service – We will continue our regular church services and restrict attendance to no more than 100 people.
a. seating arrangements will seek to maintain the Govt advised distance of 1.5 mtrs between people.
b. this would not apply to family members who may sit together.
c. in order to help maintain the 100 number limit, children who attend Sunday School classes will commence attendance of these from the beginning of the service.
3. Practice good Hygiene – COVID-19 is cleaned away by adequate hand-washing with soap or by using an alcohol-based hand sanitiser. To prevent viral transmission you should:
a. Avoid coughing or sneezing on your hands, if you need to cough you should cough into a tissue or the crook of your elbow.
b. Avoid hand to hand contact with others such as shaking hands, you can smile and nod instead.
c. Avoid touching your face when around other people.
d. Use hand sanitiser on arrival and when leaving, from church or any other ministry activity. We are attempting to source sufficient quantities of hand sanitiser to use at church, but the safest option is to bring your own and keep it with you at all times.
e. Hand sanitiser should be used to wash all children hands on arrival to and departure from children’s ministries.
4. Food Service – Where food is deemed necessary to the ministry, single-use gloves will be supplied, and no food can be prepared or handled without the use of gloves.
a. No one who is unwell should be preparing, touching, or serving food or drink that will be eaten by others.
b. Even if well, anyone preparing or serving food to others should exercise excellent hand hygiene (washing hands thoroughly with soap and water), and ideally wearing gloves.
c. Communion will be served in individual cups prepared by a single person wearing gloves.
