What’s Happening –Sunday school teachers, next Sunday directly after the morning service, there will be a special meeting shortly to discuss some important guidelines we must adhere to in relation to our church’s new insurance policy! It is important for you to attend please. Ladies, a special study just for the women of Calvary Chapel is on this Tuesday morning here at the chapel. Sunday night, we commence a news series in 1 Thessalonians with Pastor Marlon teaching. We currently are obtaining quotes for the extension of our patio at the entrance to the chapel with the aim of providing more shelter from the sun in summer and greater protection from the rain in winter. Lord willing, it will make a more comfortable zone for fellowship. For more information of this Friday’s Calvary Youth BBQ please go to the information booth after the service and one of the CCSH youth servants will assist you. Parents, please consider your children as they mature in the things of the Lord and the ability to join you in the adult services, as to whether your child is mature enough to graduate from CCSH Sunday school classes. Please see our Children’s Ministry Overseer, Helen Carmody, should you like to have your child graduate in a special service here at CCSH.
From the Pastor’s Desk – We are living in the Last Days according to the Word of God and the events we see occurring in the world in which we live. Time is running out and the human race is about to take the fatal plunge. Have we been placed on this planet by some unknown force or Creator without any idea as to where we came from? Why are we here at this moment in time? Where are we going and to what shall we turn to find some navigation markers for our lives? Is there any course we can chart? Can we find a code book that will give us the key to our dilemmas? Is there any source at all, any authority to which we can turn? The answer to the first question is no. The answer to all the rest is yes. We do have a chart to navigate by, a code book, we do have a key. We do have authoritative source material. It is found in the ancient and historic Book we call the Bible. This is why we at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour teach through the Bible. It gives us the answers to the questions that rise up within the deepest part of our souls and it is through this blessed Book that God speaks clearly and succinctly to each one of us. May you become a lover of God’s precious Word and turn to it every moment of every day.
