What’s Happening – Tonight Pastor Israel resumes in the Book of Revelation. Wednesday evening, Calvary Women, you have the chapel exclusively for an evening with your sisters in Christ to study, pray and encourage each other! Sunday school teachers, please meet directly after the service to discuss some important guidelines we must adhere to in relation to our church’s new insurance policy!. Parents, prayerfully consider your children as they mature in the things of the Lord and the ability to join you in the adult services, as to whether your child is mature enough to graduate from CCSH Sunday school classes. Please see our Children’s Ministry Overseer, Helen Carmody, should you like to have your child graduate in a special service here at CCSH. Pastors will be available to pray with you after each service. If you would like to receive Christ today, please see one of the Pastors and we will give you a new Bible and lead you in a time of prayer. Just 89 days until Christmas! Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, we are still limiting seat spacing in the sanctuary and other events are on hold until we move to phase 5, Lord willing. Thank you for your patience and assistance.
From the Pastor’s Desk – The man of faith, Noah, is spoken of in six chapters in Genesis and just one in the book of Hebrews. The Bible tells us that he and his family lived lives of faithfulness in the midst of a condemned world! All of Noah’s contemporaries, all of them, were wicked! Surely that meant that Noah and his family were the object of ridicule of EVERYONE around, them until the flood! Noah put his faith to work by preaching and building an ark, believing God’s Word over public opinion. Like Noah – do you invest your time, energy, finances and skills in God’s work? Taking God’s Word that the investments in heaven are worth it? Or do you focus your ambitions, priorities and pursuits in this world, which is passing away? Like Noah, men, will you have all your family on board your life of faith for God? That’s what God desires for each of us by faith. So that we too are to be moved with fear like Noah and put our faith to work and to have our family follow us! The opposite to doing that is catastrophic. We too like Noah have been warned of what is to come and we will have no excuse for not being moved by faith to live for God today!
