This morning we celebrate communion for the first time 2021!
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For as the body is one, and has many members of that one body, being many, are one body so also is Christ.
1 Cor 12:7,12.
From the Pastors Desk!
This morning as we celebrate communion, I will be teaching a message on the cross of Jesus Christ. This will be the pattern for this year 2021, with a message on the cross each time we gather to celebrate and remember Christ’s victory on the cross and over death though communion, together as Christ’s church here in Secret Harbour. Sir Winston Churchill was not a man who drifted aimlessly through life. Those who knew him well knew he was consumed by compelling convictions of providence. When King George V1 invited him on May 10, 1940, to lead his beloved Britain against the forces of Nazism that threatened Europe, Churchill confidently accepted the challenge. As he later recounted, “I felt as if I were walking with destiny, and that my past life had been but a preparation for this hour and for this trial.” Our Lord Jesus Christ too had a powerful obsession: the cross. Brutal and cruel though it was, Jesus found Himself consumed by a compelling sense of Divine providence, and each day of His adult life drew Him inexorably closer to fulfilling the mission that He had been born in Bethlehem to achieve. Jesus was not a helpless victim, or a simple martyr. Jesus death was the fulfillment of the Father’s predetermined plan for His Son. To save us from our sins! But the things which God announced beforehand by the mouth of all the prophets, that His Christ should suffer, He has thus fulfilled – Acts 3:18
Next Sunday morning we begin our new series for 2021 on the Book of Romans. Please begin reading ahead in this most amazing book.
Tonight – Pastor Israel teaching from Revelation Chapter 11: you won’t want to miss this exciting look into the future!
Helen’s Heart
I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living….wait patiently for the Lord… Psalm 27:13 -14 NLT
Sometimes we can lose heart with our prayer life. Have there been some requests you’ve made to God that seem to echo in the silence? Keep on seeking, ask God to give you a vision of His plans for you. We have Sarah, Rachel, Hanna, Elizabeth, and Anna all as examples who waited patiently (a long time) for their answers to prayer. Do not lose heart; God will answer your prayers if you wait. Faith is the assurance of things hoped for….Heb 11:1
Prayer – Join us as we pray each Sunday morning at 9:30 am for the Lord’s blessing and protection over all our services and His ministries here at CCSH.
Please make sure you connect with our new web page so you can receive this bulletin and all other important notifications direct to your laptop or mobile.
Tithes and Offerings..We don’t take an offering here at CCSH, but we do give an offering to our Lord of our first fruits. The offering box is at the back of the hall near the prayer box. 2 Cor 9:7..Every man according as he purposes in his heart, so let him give not grudgingly, or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
