Recent Research by Torrens University showed the suburbs and neighbourhoods where Australians have the longest and shortest life spans. A suburb in Melbourne’s south-east, Ashburton, and the areas of Unley and Parkside, south of Adelaide’s CBD, took out joint first place for the highest median age at death in Australia, both sitting at 89 years. The lowest median age at death among cities and their suburbs was Melbourne’s CBD at 59 years, followed by the Forrestdale, Harrisdale, Piara Waters areas in Perth at 62 years. The overall lowest median age at death nationwide was found in regional areas: Newman in Western Australia – just 45 years. As Christians, we ought to carry written on our hearts the solemn truth of how short a time we have to witness and serve the Lord. Whatever we are going to do for Christ we had better do now. If we are ever to study the Scriptures, if we are ever to spend time in prayer, if we are ever to win souls for Christ, if we are ever to invest our finances for His kingdom, it must be now. You may not have tomorrow – but you do have today. As long as it is day, we must do the work of Him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 1 John 9:4.
Helen’s Heart –
Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:15 Jesus took care of our greatest need at Calvary. This gives us hope that in the midst of the storms and struggles we may face, there is relief, peace and calm. When the disciples crossed the Sea of Galilee and a storm arose, Jesus woke and said, “Peace be still” Mark 4:39. As Jesus was with them, He is with us and He will take care of the worries and problems we face. Be strong and courageous!
Prayer – Join us as we pray each Sunday morning at 9:30 am for the Lord’s blessing and protection over all our services and His ministries here at CCSH. pray – your praying can make such a difference!
Wednesday Evening – be an active member of the church here at CCSH and include our pray meeting in your diary each week.
Psa 55:17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
We really want to thank all those who are making Wednesday night prayer such an important part of their ministry here at CCSH. Prayer requests continue to be miraculously answered and God is moving here in and through CCSH. Don’t forget if you are ill, James 5:14 teaches us that you can call upon the elders of the church here at CCSH and they will pray over you and anoint you with oil in the name of the Lord. Wednesday evening prayer is the perfect time just for that ministry.
Tithes and Offerings we provide a grace offering container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us remember that God was unsparing in His giving – Proverbs 3: 9 Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. 10 Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.
Calvary Kids – Bible knowledge test:

Once the service has commenced, especially the teaching of the Word of God, we ask that you remain seated so as not to be distraction to others during this most important time. Should you need to leave your seat the ushers on your return will direct you to a seat at the rear of the church – thank you.
