Covid lockdown – Day three (3) – A Day of Prayer
Covid Lockdown – Day three (3)
It’s Wednesday and prior to the Covid lockdown we would be gathering at 7:00pm at the chapel, for study and our corporate prayer night. But this is unable to happen due to the lockdown.
But that gives us the direction for all of us today – today is dedicated to praying one for another.
Besides spending time in prayer today for our own needs and our own praise and worship time, we as part of the body of Christ here at Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour, can now pray for His church.
Many of you who are part of our 24/7 prayer servant team, have already received requests today to pray. Now we can collectively from our own homes, turn to the Lord and present the prayer requests that believers have submitted here at CCSH.
Helen and I will be praying with you tonight though not at the chapel but at home from 7:00pm and we hope that you will gather your family and join us as we gather at the throne of God.
Prayer needs submitted:
Leadership – Ministries
Please pray for the pastors and elders here at CCSH.
Please pray for the protection of their families, keeping balance between work, church and family life. For wisdom and grace to fulfill their roles and be examples and servants to those whom God has placed in our care here at CCSH.
Pray for our Premier and our Prime Minister.
Ministries
Men’s – for the men of CCSH to example God’s gracious love and be strong in their homes – demonstrating God’s love and teaching their children to honour the Lord.
Women’s – for the women of CCSH to be taught according to God’s precious Word, to be loving and kind, and to have His wisdom in creating a Godly home environment.
Children’s – for all the children of CCSH, to grow in God’s grace and understanding of His Word. To be leaders and not followers of their peers. For God to keep them safe from evil.
Young Adults – for the teens and young adults of CCSH, to grow strong in God’s Word, for God to direct their lives with career choices, future relationship etc. For them to be wise in their actions and have His strength to be witnesses in their behaviour and words.
Provision
Please play for one of our lady’s husband’s business to prosper to enable it to provide for their family.
Healing
Several ladies have requested – continued strength and guidance for upcoming operations, strength for ongoing physio for their children, recovery from previous operations.
Healing for children that have need of God’s touch physically.
A couple seeking that cancer will not return in their family.
Recovery for one of our brothers and for his body to function correctly.
Healing for a brother’s surgeries and medical conditions.
Prayer for an elderly mother in hospital needing God’s touch for her body.
Besides all these things, allow God by His Holy Spirit to guide you as you bring Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour before the Lord, to use us as a fellowship to reach the lost and be a place where those broken can find the Lord Jesus Christ in their lives.
Please pray for this week’s upcoming services where we will, Lord willing, be having communion together as the body of Christ and remembering all that Jesus Christ has done for each of us.
This Covid lockdown, we can turn into a special prayer week and, especially today, to seek God’s power, His grace and His presence for God blessing to be upon us here at CCSH and for Him to use us to see His will done here on earth as it is in heaven.
Acts 4: 29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”
31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
The Lord is calling us to prayer and today is a gifted opportunity to answer God’s desire for us to be His channels to achieve His will.
We look forward to joining with you before the throne of God at the feet of our Lord Jesus Christ as we gather to pray tonight.
In His grace
Keith & Helen
