The Life of Joseph

The Life of Joseph

I have often shared with you that the mentors that I have in my life are all found in the Bible.

Men such as Noah, he teaches me how to raise a Christian family in a godless world, Abraham – he shows me how to be a loving father, Daniel – he teaches me how to be a man of God no matter where I find myself, and a few others such as Joshua and off course Paul.

But there is another man who I cannot wait to meet when I get to heaven. His name is Joseph! He continues to teach me that no matter what happens to me, I am to continue to serve God and live for Him in everything I do. That God has a purpose for all the things that I experience in this life now.

Starting this Wednesday evening, we begin a series on the Life of Joseph. The study of this man of God always blesses me and encourages me whenever I think I am getting a raw deal, being misunderstood, treated unfairly and cast aside.

Starting in Genesis 37 we will begin a journey and walk alongside this man of God and learn much from him that will be a blessing to each of us today.

I encourage you and your children to each select mentors from the Bible and study their lives:
• The trials they faced
• How God used them
• How they dealt with problems
• How they lived by faith in difficult times
• What were their strengths
• Why God used them to be a blessing to so many

I invite you out Wednesday to continue to be a part of the body of Christ here in Secret Harbour as we gather together as His church to study His Word and pray one for another.

Christianity is far more than an hour and a half on a Sunday morning and so too is the Church of Jesus Christ.

Joseph will be a blessing to you as we examine this man’s life in detail and prepare our hearts to meet with him soon when our Lord returns to take us home.

In His grace

Keith and Helen
